Exploring Vilnius by public transport

Travelling in the city by public transport is a great and convenient way to reach the destination, the places of interest in the centre or suburbs. You can travel in Vilnius by bus, express and night buses, trolleybuses. Tickets can be purchased and topped up on the card “Vilniečio kortelė” (Vilnius Resident Card) (one-time fee is EUR 1.5) or on the phone using m.Ticket app. Tickets are valid on all buses and trolleybuses throughout the specified time. During this period, the number of transport interchanges during your travel is unlimited. You can plan your trip with the following apps: m.Ticket, Trafi, Google Maps or using route planning.

Trip to / from the airport

It is convenient to go to and from Vilnius airport by public transport: 3G express and 1, 2, 88 buses are available for that purpose.

  • Timetable can be conveniently checked at m.stops.lt which provides a possibility to see how public transport operates in real time.
  • You can plan your trip here.
  • Buy a ticket on your mobile phone or in the card “Vilniečio kortelė” (Vilnius Resident Card), which you can top up with electronic money or tickets at distribution places. Tickets can be purchased at Vilnius Airport in Narvesen stores.
  • Activate your ticket and enjoy your trip!

Vilnius Bus Station and Vilnius Railway Station

Travel by public transport when arriving or departing from Vilnius Bus Station or Vilnius Railway Station. You can also find our Customer Service Centre at Vilnius Railway Station, where all questions will be answered, and you can buy tickets for a trip on buses or trolleybuses, and also get information about other sustainable ways of moving around in the city. Travel to and from Vilnius Bus Station and Vilnius Railway Station by 1G, 2G express buses, 1, 2, 3, 4, 12, 13, 16, 19, 23, 31, 34, 41, 42, 53, 54, 58, 61, 74, 78, 82, 89 and 102N, 103N (night) buses, also 1, 2, 7, 15, 16, 20 trolleybuses.
